Dr. Anam Javed is a seasoned Physical Therapist and Rehabilitation Expert with over 11 years of academic and clinical experience. Specializing in evidence-based practice, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal therapy, she has made significant contributions to the field.
Starting as a Demonstrator at Bashir Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) in 2014, Dr. Anam quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Lecturer in 2016, Assistant Professor in 2021, and Head of the Physical Therapy Department in 2023. She also served as Clinical Incharge from 2014 to 2021, ensuring high-quality patient care.
With 20 published research articles, 13 citations, and presentations at international conferences, Dr. Anam is a prolific researcher. Her work focuses on work-related musculoskeletal disorders, physical therapy interventions, and public health surveys. Since 2019, she has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects.
Dr. Anam is an active member of the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) and serves on the editorial team of the Journal of Bashir Institute of Health Sciences. She also reviews for the Journal of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at Rawalpindi Medical University. At BIHS, she chairs the Physical Therapy Board of Studies and is a member of the Ethical Committee for Clinical Research.
Her dedication to education is evident in her design of Practical Manuals of Kinesiology for DPT students. Dr. Anam continues to shape the future of physical therapy through her leadership, research, and commitment to professional development.
